Technician MOT Tester in Stourbridge
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Technician with Class 4 MOT Certificate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automotive repair and maintenance, along with a strong technical background in diagnosing and fixing various vehicle issues. This role will primarily involve performing mechanical repairs and conducting MOT tests on a variety of vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities:
Below is a list of responsibilities which whilst comprehensive, is not exhaustive:
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on vehicles to identify any issues or potential problems.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles and perform necessary repairs.
- Perform MOT tests in compliance with regulatory requirements and guidelines.
- Replace and repair worn or defective parts/components in vehicles, including brakes, suspension, engines, and transmissions.
- Carry out vehicle servicing and tune-ups according to manufacturer specifications.
- Complete accurate documentation of all work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and findings from inspections.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
- Stay updated on new technologies and techniques in automotive repair and maintenance through ongoing training and development.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a mechanic and MOT technician, preferably in a busy automotive repair shop.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve vehicle issues.
- Valid MOT Tester certification (Class 4 and/or 7) is required.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks and documentation.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 (required)

Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport motorhomes and campervans to designated locations, including customer homes, rental sites, and service centres.

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections.
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering any questions customers may have upon delivery.

Requirements:
- Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
